Welcome to 1851 Vineyards, nestled along the banks of the Live Oak Creek, four miles south of the Fredericksburg Courthouse on Highway 16. Come escape to our Texas winery and fall in love with our wine and our story. Upon entering the estate, our farm road will wind you through the vineyard up to the tasting room. Relax on our family owned farm, founded after Texas Independence but before the Civil War. 1851 Vineyards is dedicated to great Texas wines, Hill Country hospitality and an unsurpassed experience.
Owners- Dabs and John Hollimon
Dabs (formerly Dabs Brown) and John Hollimon are proud products of the hill country and have long backgrounds in farming and ranching. Spending most of their careers in education in San Antonio, they have found new passions in this new business venture and growing the wine industry in the Texas hill country on this historic property that has been in the family for over 50 years.

General Manager- Jeska Haggerty
Jeska is a Fighting Texas Aggie Class of '02 alum and was formerly a head volleyball coach in San Antonio. She grew up going to the farm in Fredericksburg and desiring to be there everyday while visiting her grandparents.
Sourced from the Texas High Plains, this varietal originated in France, became widely popular in Uruguay vineyards, and has become the wine sought by Texas consumers. It is known to be deep, dark, dry, and rustic. This wine has wonderful tannins and pairs exceptionally with a steak.
Mark June 16 on your calendar and get ready to enjoy a night of wine, food, music, and cigars. Catwheels will be catering Cuban food including appetizers, dinner, and dessert. Enjoy a sangria and three wines paired with dinner. Smokey's Mobile Cigar Lounge will also be onsite with cigars and wine pairings for purchase. Tickets will be limited, so get your tickets by June 5. $80 for non-members, and your wine club discount applies for two tickets for wine club members.
Sourced from the Texas High Plains, this blend is a combination of Cabernet Sauvignon, Tannat, and Alicante Bouschet. With soft textures and rich flavors, this wine has layers of dried fruits and traves of vanilla.
